Question: What do you do when you don't have much time on your hands to work on new material? Answer: You mess with the old stuff. At least until such a time when you can manage to keep your eyes and ears open past 10 P.M. And without waking the rest of the house up... Back in the winter of '02/'03, in tiny apartment in Howell, MI, with not even the prospect of a social life, I hunkered down at my desk with a bunch of little recording gadgets and a really cheap guitar and managed to put some ideas down on tape. Well, not really tape anymore, more like converted into millions of 1's and 0's on a hard drive. |

Music has always been a major focal point in my life, in big part because of the core contribution of some very good friends like Dave Gorbe, Jon Curtis and Ryan Knott, and in recent years Pat Sweet, Leo Swope, Bob Chapman, and a few others who have mingled in and out of various projects.
Some of you might recognize some of these old names like The Reason (circa 1988-1990), Anonymous, The Cagey Bees, and Satin Jones (circa 1998-2004, and beyond...?).
I'm happy to say the hobby continues on in the form Girl Stand Still, a writing/recording project with Ryan, in which we put to use our love of writing music with my ever-evolving home studio and continuing education in engineering techniques.

If you can imagine a Jack White influence on a poppier sound, check out my latest, most favoritest group of musicians. You really should. VERY cool.
